WAGS of SCI Founders Elena Pauly and Brooke Pagé now Co- Authors On A Major New Study On Caregivers
The study is taking place now, with the goal to create more TOOLS to help Caregivers around the world.
When Brooke and Elena's partners sustained their Spinal Cord Injuries, they were essentially alone in their journey to help their partners with their recovery. There were very few, if any resources for caregivers and partners to the injured person available in hospital, and, well - you all know the story by now. It was because of this lack of support that the women founded WAGS of SCI, in order to never have women feel alone again.
Fast forward 7 years later, and the women are now involved in a brand new study partnering with the University of British Columbia and many other well known professionals in order to highlight the needs of Caregivers, and provide them with tangible support during the most crucial time of SCI. This will be in the form of an online tool with resources and community connections.
We would love YOUR help! If you are a caregiver to someone with a Spinal Cord Injury and would like to participate in the study, please email us at wagsofsci@gmail.com. We have a short list of interview questions and you will be compensated $50 for your time.
We are very much looking forward to keeping all of you up to date with the status of the study as we go along!
